Cavaliers Garland Out Four Weeks, Mobley Six to Eight
Cleveland Cavaliers guard Darius Garland will be out for at least four weeks due to a fractured jaw, while forward-center Evan Mobley will be out for six to eight weeks.
Garland has been out since December 14 after being inadvertently struck in the face by Boston Celtics big man Kristaps Porzingis and suffering a concussion. Mobley has been out since January 10 after undergoing knee surgery.
The injuries are a major blow to the Cavaliers, who are currently in fourth place in the Eastern Conference. Garland is the team's leading scorer, averaging 20.0 points per game, while Mobley is second in scoring (15.0 ppg) and first in rebounding (8.9 rpg).
The Cavaliers will have to rely on other players to step up in the absence of Garland and Mobley.
